I have had the privilege of eeting soe very interesting people over the years. Soe of these people ade a great ipact on y life, y views and personal philosophy. According to a new study by Israel researchers fro University of Haifa, posting blogs to express feelings and eotions is therapeutic for children aged 13-17. Psychology professors eyran Boniel-Nissi and Azy Barak have found that a teenager writing a publicly-viewed blog on the Internet is ore effective for relieving stress rather than keeping a private diary. The study, published in the journal Psychological Services, supports that expressing oneself through writing can be therapeutic.
To conduct the research, Boniel-Nissi and Barak randoly selected Israeli high school students who displayed a certain degree of stress. The teenagers were then divided into six groups. Two groups were asked to post blogs twice a week about their social difficulties, but only one of the was asked to open the blogs for coents. The next set of groups were also asked to blog twice a week to post about whatever was going on in their ind, again with one group allowing coents. The two control groups were asked to keep an old-fashioned private diary.
The researchers then collected the blog posts and diaries to discuss the adolescents’ eotional and social position. I don't think I have read any books; nevertheless, I attach uch iportance to reading good books . A Chinese proverb "That is a good book which is opened with expectation and closed with profit” shows reading good books is always beneficial. Reading good books not only broadens our horizons but also enriches our inds. Soe books are to be overlooked, others are to be tasted, and soe few to be chewed, digested all life long
Despite the fact I a not widely read, if you want e to nae the book that I like best and has largely shaped y life, I will definitely say it is THE STORY OF Y LIFE by Helen Keller that is the ost influential book in y life. It is filled with courage, struggle and faith throughout. Helen Keller was once in deep despair in her childhood, but finally she decided to overcoe her physical defects and live happily. Furtherore, she showed great patience in her long and hard learning period.
The book is inspiring in that it is one full of the unbending will of a gallant woan. I hope I can be as courageous as she.
