（一）動詞不定式：動詞不定式在句中可以作主語、表語、賓語、賓語補足語、定語和狀語，就是不能單獨作謂語。如：
To see is to believe. （作主語）眼見為實。

引導(dǎo)時間狀語從句的連詞有 when, while, before, after, as, until, till, as soon as 等。
注： when, as, 和while都可以表示”當.....的時候“，而when既可表示“一個特定的時間”，“也可表示一段時間”；as多用于口語，強調(diào)“同一時間”或“一先一后”；while 也可表示同一時間，但所表示的不是一個點時間，而是一段時間，因此謂語動詞常是延續(xù)性的，并且常用進行時。另外，從句可放在主句的前面，也可放在主句的后面。若放在主句的后面，要用逗號與主句分開。注意，當主句為一般將來時，時間狀語從句要用一般現(xiàn)在時表將來的意義。如：

（四）條件狀語從句
引導(dǎo)條件狀語從句的詞有if, unless（如果不......;除非......)。注由if引導(dǎo)的條件狀語從句，若主句是將來時態(tài)、祈使句或含有情態(tài)動詞是，從句常用一般現(xiàn)在時。如：
If you are ill, you must go to see the doctor.如果你病了，就必須去看醫(yī)生。
I'll go to see a film if I have time.如果我有時間，我將去看電影。
Please ring me up if you want to go with me.如果你想和我一起去，請給我打電話。
